Packing List

Please do not bring any camping gear or cooking gear without consulting us. This list is structured for backcountry, unguided, drop-camp hunts, so use your discretion for guided or non-wilderness trips.

Documents

  1. Driver’s license or picture ID
  2. Hunter Safety Card (birth year 1949 or after—no exceptions)
  3. CPW License/Tag and ballpoint pen

Equipment

CARRIED IN DAYPACK OR ON YOUR PERSON

** Banned by airlines; must purchase in Colorado or ship to Comanche ahead of time.

Rifle

  • Rifle pre-sighted 2” high at 100 yards
  • 40 rounds of same brand/grain ammo
  • Scope covers
  • Compact cleaning kit

Archery

  • Bow and 1 dozen arrows
  • Cylinder arrow case
  • Extra string, rest, and sights
  • Bow tool kit

Muzzleloader

  • Muzzleloader sighted at 75 yards
  • Several pre-loaded speedloaders
  • Extra loose powder and bullets **
  • Extra primers or caps **

  • Daypack
  • Knife and sharpener
  • Binoculars
  • Bone saw *
  • Camera with extra battery
  • Flashlight/headlamp
  • Water bottle (filtered bottles recommended)
